Jen-eration's Keepsakes Pirate Owl Beanie review

Jen from Jen-eration's Keepsakes contacted me when she came across a booby beanie giveaway we were throwing over at Breastfeeding Mama Talk. She had saw some complaints about there not being a diversity in colors so she had offered to make some booby beanies herself with all different color tones to giveaway to our Breastfeeding Mama Talk followers. Everyone seemed really happy about the diverse colors and the giveaway went great! Needless to say, Booby beanies are now a staple in her Etsy Shop.
She really wanted to send me one of her creations and since I'm no longer breastfeeding I had selected her Pirate/owl beanie. For one my son is obsessed with pirates and I thought a pirate OWL would be something different and unique.
I was so excited to receive this wonderful gift for my son. I'm someone that prefers handmade gifts over store bought ones. The neat thing about her is she makes all her beanies to order. So that means you can make certain customized requests, such as, color change, size, add-on's ect... For my special request I just had her make sure it was big enough to fit around my sons head!
Jen has a passion & a love for crocheting. She has been around it all her life. It started on her weekend visits to grandmas. Her grandma taught her how to crochet when she was a little girl. So she took that skill into adulthood & would make things just for fun for friends & family. Well as the demand for her crochet creatios added up she decided to make it into her own full blown business and then, "Jen-eration's Keepsakes" was born.

Her prices range anywhere from $12-$32. For the great deal of time & detail she puts into her designs I'd say that is a steal. When I first opened the beanie I was immediately taken back by how much detail went into it. Just little details that made a huge difference. For instance the little bandana on the owl she had added some little white dots to make it a polka dot design. The little ears had strands of yarn coming out to make it more detailed. It's very high quality and now because of her I don't think I will ever buy another store bought beanie ever again.
Something else I thought was neat was how many compliments my son got when wearing the beanie. It's so unique & different so it stood out (in a good way) of course. I would definitely recommend Jen-eration's Keepsakes to everyone. With her flexibility on designs the possibility's are endless!
