Do you or a family member have a cold or sinus problems?
Stuffy noses – Squirt a few drops or breast milk up the nose instead of saline to clear up a blocked nose.
Puffy eyes – dab breast milk onto the puffy area using a cotton ball.
Sore throat – rinse and gargle with breast milk to soothe a sore throat.

Other common complaints:

I put my breast milk on everything! It always helps. From itchy bumps to cuts, rashes, my face for anti-aging benefits, etc, etc. Everyone in my house knows if they got an issue its probably gonna get sprayed. I generally spray on (straight from the tap, or apply onto my clean fingertip) and allow to air dry, reapply as needed. Its Ok to trust your body, We are magical creatures with amazing healing powers. I suspect women have utilized the healing effects of their own milk since the dawn of time. Just try it!

How do I use for my baby's baby acne? How many applications and if I let air dry when do I wash it off? I've heard of quite a few of these breast milk remedies and would like to give it a love but I'm not sure how!?

My newborn daughter recently had a horrible blocked tear duct. Eye goop galore and closed shut every morning. My pediatrician said to put drops of Breastmilk in it a couple times a day. Worked like MAGIC! I was shocked bc my son had same thing when he was a baby and I didn't breastfeed him and it lasted months and months. Now anytime my newborn's tear duct flares up again I just put in drops of B-Milk and it works wonders. I never thought to try this with my other children! Just wanted to share my experience for it since there were so many skeptical people out there. (I admit I was very skeptical at first too but wow it really worked AND was recommended by my trusted pediatrician who is my cousin and cares for all 3 of my children!) I definitely will check out for diaper rash and stuffy nose! (I have always used for cracked nipples!)

I've used drops of milk for red eye and for stuffy nose. Worked really good! I'm sure it would also work for other things. Thanks breastfeedingmamatalk for all the information!

NO!! Please do NOT put breastmilk on ANY rash. Period. Absolutely not the genitals or in the diaper. Breastmilk has many uses, but contains sugar. What do yeasts feed on??? Sugar ... yes ma'am even the sugars in healthy breastmilk provide a breeding ground for yeasts. Jeez ... some of you take things too far. Sure breastmilk is healthy and great, but come on don't lie or attempt to mislead. Some young mom is going to read this and make her baby worse. Breastmilk is NOT medicine ... is food. If your baby is sick with rash/pinkeye .... take him/her to the doctor. Learn it. Accept it for what it is/is not. Live it.

@Anna, yes! Thanks for stating this. Both my mum and my grandma warned not to use breast milk on genitals. I thought it was one of those Nigerian myths, from what you said, clearly makes a lot of sense.

@Anna,
I get your concern, but whole heartedly disagree. I have sucessfully treated yeast overgrowth with Breast milk. Yes their is a form of sugar in our milk, but its not so cut and dry. We don't know exactly what breast milk is comprised of and how the many other substances in it can effect the actions of one another. How do you explain the healing benefits of Honey. Its sweet and has been used to heal wounds for centuries. Pharma is not the answer for me and in my humble opinion most "Doctors are just a dispensing arm of Pharma. The quickness to dismiss a natural cure and only trust in the over rated medical world is unfortunate.
